Salt Lake Temple Letterpress

Within the last year I’ve really become a fan of well-done typography and fonts. I’m a little late to that game compared to other designers, but I’m fascinated by it just as much. Awhile ago I discovered that Cameron Moll, a web design superstar, had dedicated a lot of time recreating the Salt Lake Temple entirely in type; it’s beautiful. Since then he’s also recreated the Coliseum in type which is equally beautiful. Right now he’s working on his 3rd, but has kept secret what building/landmark it’s going to be. I’m excited to see his final product.

Well, since we were awesome enough to get married in the Salt Lake Temple, I thought it perfectly fitting to get his Temple Letterpress to hang in the house, and my awesome bosses at work bought it for us for our Wedding Present. I then got it framed and it’s hanging downstairs in our living room. I love it. It’s a gorgeous cherry-wood red frame, with white, black, and red accent matte. The print is 16×24, so the final product is actually a pretty good size. Take a look for yourself! And order one too!

2 Dogs, 2 Bunnies, 16 Legs

This last Saturday, well, Friday night I slept over at my parents house so I could wake up bright and early at 3:30a.m. and take my parents and sister Katie and brother in law Clint to the airport so they could fly away to sunny San Juan and go on a cruise. Without me. Without Alicia. It’s kinda mean.

Since they left we’ve been housesitting for them here in Alpine, babysitting 2 dogs, 2 bunnies and the house. Dasha requires medicine twice a day, Cosmo requires constant attention and lots of playing and laser pointer chasing. The bunnies don’t need nearly as much attention, just some lettuce and they’ll be happy. Although, I fed Mr Bunny a banana and he quite liked it.

Needless to say, since they left the weather went extra crappy again; sub-freezing temperatures, snow, wind, everything else stupid winter brings along with it. It’s no fun! I don’t like winter. I digress.
